The Charleston January Jam is a power division tournament, held January 6-7, 2018. Registration will be available on Advanced Event Systems, and with 12 courts at the beautiful North Charleston Convention Center, we will be able to accommodate 96 teams. All play will be on-site at the convention center and first referees will be provided. Teams will have a guaranteed 3 matches of pool play on Saturday, plus a minimum of 2 matches on Sunday.

Registration

Registration will be available through AES on November 15. Entry fee is $425.

Divisions

Divisions offered in 2018 will be:

12 Power (may be combined with 13 Power if fewer than 8 teams register)
13 Power
14 Power
15 Power
16 Power
17 Power
18 Power

*Please note we reserve the right to combine divisions based on number of team entries. Teams will be notified of this decision in a timely manner.

Schedule

Play on Saturday will be divided into two waves. All teams will advance to playoffs on Sunday.

Formats/Rules

  • All matches start at zero, matches during pool play will have a 2-point cap. Challenge matches and playoff matches on Sunday will start at zero and do not have a cap.
  • Professional R1 will be provided for each match. Professional R1 and R2 will be provided for all Gold division finals matches.

Admission/Tickets

Ticket costs are as follows. Pre-orders will be available through your club director.
Adult 2-day pass: $15
Child (ages 5-18) 2-day pass: $10
Children 4 and under are free
Daily tickets will be available for purchase at the door (Adult – $10, Child – $7).
Pre-ordered tickets will be included in each team’s check-in packet for pickup Friday night or Saturday morning at the tournament. Players wearing a jersey will be allowed to enter the facility without a wristband.

Team Check-In

Team check-in will be held from 6-8:30pm on Friday night and from 7-8:30am and 12:30-2pm on Saturday. If your team plays in the morning wave on Saturday, we strongly suggest that you check-in on Friday night to avoid any delays. Coach or team parent may check the team in, but must collect all team materials at that time (individual pickup of pre-ordered wristbands is not permitted). To check-in, please bring a signed copy of your USAV webpoint roster.

Food & Seating

Food, tables, and coolers are NOT allowed in the facility. Food tables are NOT allowed to be set up anywhere inside the convention center. Players may bring in water bottles in their backpacks.

Portable sport chairs are NOT allowed due to space limitations. Ample seating will be provided around each court. If your team is not playing, please allow spectators for teams that are playing to sit.

Athletic Trainers/First Aid

There will be an athletic trainer on-site throughout the tournament to provide pre-game taping and injury care for players. Ice will be available for post-game care and injuries.

    Is so how do we order, cost etc?
